The McGovern Institute for Brain Research has acquired a magnetoencephalography (MEG) scanner for human brain imaging. In this 2-part lecture, Ronald Gordon of Elekta introduces MEG imaging to the MIT community. The first hour provides an overview of MEG, including: historical development, basic MEG physics, noise cancellation, basic source modeling, and experimental and clinical applications. After a break, the second hour concentrates on operational details of the Elekta Triux MEG System and is targeted to individuals who may be interested in using the imaging facility.
